Blended sidecut is too tight, trying to avoid any tail rocker/early rise, not actually very directional. Otherwise not far off on paper, but I think the alchemist is a way better choice for me than passport. Wish I could try the alchy.

Dumb, but I admit I also hate graphics now. I can always vinyl a topsheet, but pretty stuck on the black base thing. Everything I own now is black base, other than my split, hah.

@Spenser Buteo 62 is a true 9-10/10 in flex, like riding a door. Needs high or ridiculous high speeds to bend. Bit over my skill level but I'm heavy so was rideable. You really have to push it all the time. Only board I got scared of riding in wet chopped up pow. Great on good groomers. 62 has similar specs to the Pantera 169w, Orbit 57 feels almost like a party board in comparison but with similar specs and feel to the Buteo 57.

@Spenser curious about the want for some tail kick, for the odd switch riding?

Yeah, as it will be a DD type board, where the orbit currently sits. I like to be able to land/takeoff switch without having to think about it. So for example, the squash notch wasn't good for that, shorty is too low, etc

I just want a damn orbit with cadet tips!

Ah, makes a lot of sense. Just wanted to be sure I understood, correctly πŸ€“.

And the Passport is actually a great board for turning. More damp than I expected, but has energy to it that doesn't make it feel like a door either. Just not too sure how you'll like its blended scr, tbf. But yeah, worth trying if ever get that chance. It's still dueling with my SG as my DD still. Though, have only been out less than 10 days this winter w my toddler now, and my lady back at work. Gonna try to punch in more days next month during some time off πŸ™πŸΌ.

Absolutely agree that the Buteo 162 isn’t a daily driver for most people, if anyone.

big problem now. I have this jewel at home. It is not a definitive purchase. I needed to have it here to study it and copare. It’s an orca 150. I'm 1.70m tall and weigh 70 kilos and I use 8us and maybe the 147 is better for me because the tail is 293 (303 the 150) and maybe it's too big for me the 150 but I already have it at home and I don't want it to go😭😭😭
You would take the 147 or the 150?? . Does anyone have one and can tell me? I usually use FA152 and Fish 51

There is little powder here and I am almost always at a resort. doing freeriding between the rocks but in the resort or near

Thank you

Orca would def be your deep snow board then, but it should be fine in powder, both the FA and Fish should do fine on hardpack, and the Orca has more pop than the Fish at least.

thank you!
But the problem is that I want the orca for the entire mountain and for everything (I don't do park). here there is little powder. Only a few times. A lot of years ago yes we had but not now. My idea is a board and use it for everything until i buy the next board πŸ˜ƒ
that's why I have a question about the size of the orca

Here freeride means max 5cm of powder. usually means being on fishmonger snow :x
