They look pretty decent actually. I’d like to try them in a shop. Zip shroud gaiter things are trending hard I see. The zipper came straight off in my hand on the Hi country I bought and I doubt I’d be able to change a lace without cutting the gaiter off. Seems unnecessary to me but I’m not a big backcountry guy. I can only guess it has some function when you spend a lot of time hiking.

Yeah. Got this on my new vans verse... dunno, I guess if you're postholen' up a powdery aspect it would prevent some snow from falling into the boot. But for 99.9 of everyone else it's just going to get in the way. Make it like an external tongue that goes over the laces that can get pulled out of the way easier. Removeable at that.

I haven't used the boots though, so maybe it's a non-issue.

I'm down for the Airwalk reboot if were talking snowboard boots based on these bad boys

Never had to replace a boa, but at least the K2 ones seem easy to access if you take out the liner.

The NTS were my first skate shoe. Funny how a brand that lived so deep in my young skate heart got absolutely neutered becoming garbage tier bigbox blech...

I had a pair of early airwalk snowboard boots too. They were pretty garbage.

An old school reboot with a good quality boot...would be cool. The little airwalk guy logo is still nostalgic for me.

Well yeah, a boot that has stayed the same for 20 years isn't exactly mindblowing. Could still be comfy I guess. Hope prices reflect the effort that went into making the logo.

Could be too. I had a pair of one of the first northwave boots and they were hands down the most comfortable boots I ever had and I wore them for all sorts of winter stuff until the rubber disintegrated and glue deteriorated and they fell apart ded.

RIP my beautiful chonky boots.

I'd have never wore them snowboarding though, unless I wanted 2 broken ankles.

Just spent the last week riding in Argentina with these rental boots:
The best I can say for them is that they didn't completely lack stiffness, and they didn't hurt my feet

I really need to get myself to a shop to try on boots this fall. Even made the attempt to buy some in South America during this trip, but imported gear is really expensive in Argentina right now. Think $900+ USD for a high end boot, and there's not a lot of inventory available.
