Where do I find those Mission Ridge coasters so I can have the proper measurement for board warp-age?

I never paid much attention when waxing boards at the shop - one of my coworkers though was a mega board geek because he worked part time as mobile boat repair. Works a lot with carbon, fiberglass, etc. He would always place a straight edge across bases when waxing and point out the ones that were warped. New, old, etc. Anecdotal but I wouldn’t be surprised if at least 20% of decks out there are warped.

great, now i need to go put a level on my base and find out if i am part of warpgate24!

as expected, the TF still f'n rules in its 3rd season. hopefully i will get back out soon at the resort and the snow continues, but a lot of things going on outside of snowboarding the next two months :(

i've been thinking about moving my front foot up on the inserts to try and balance the nose/tail discrepancy slightly more for experimental purposes. I'm currently all the way up on the rear inserts, and front foot is mounted at a 22 inch stance width i believe. i can bump that to 23 and be comfortable still. i'm curious how that will feel on edge (will i go over the handlebars more and fold the nose on heelside, stay tuned) and how landing will feel.

probably should have gotten a 57 instead of a 54 at my weight, but wanted something slightly more nimble from an overall volume standpoint...

I love Mission Ridge, we didn’t get to go last year but hoping to reload those coasters this year!

Still waiting to hear back about the pencil. They were very responsive at first, but no response since I pointed out the discrepancies. I'm patient & not worried about it, so we'll see.

Just heard back. He maintains the 3D contour is correct, and of course the concave middle is not - no hesitation in taking care of it. Wish I could try first, but really not a fan of any sort of 3D. While I don't *want* to make assumptions, I've ridden boards where the contour was much less, and still got rid of them quickly because of it.

He still didn't address the other things, so I'll let it go. I guess the conclusion to draw is that apparently they are doing a 3D shape on certain boards from the new factory - I'd assume most of them based on what he said, but who knows. For anyone who gets a new one in the future, would be interesting to share your findings.

What are they doing to take care of it?

I swore I noted that.. oops

I can essentially do whatever. Replacement, return for full refund, or keep it and get a partial refund. Granted we're talking about snow toys, but I'm struggling, hah. I think I'm opting to return it in this case. I'm sure I can change my mind while it's in transit. Am I overthinking the contour? I've been surprised before.

If someone offered a nobile 64, that may seal the deal. It's hard not to conclude that a pencil fills the spot I'm looking for.

I might be able to help you out, but it wouldn’t be til mid-season if at all. I’ll keep ya posted, either way.

Also, the book’s up on the website for orders. Put in an early Christmas gift to myself. 🤙🏽
