Looks like they are going much wider on the deep reach. I really liked my 159 but felt it was a little too narrow (I think 258?).

Orbit was a better name and preferred the narrower waist but would be interested to try one.
Is the Experiment applying for Darwin awards? Wonder how it rides.

Very nice! I like the deep reach and the experiment is wide AF! Very Gentem esque.

Lol was thinking same thing. Potentially better in pow with more shovel and kick in the nose too (although losing the early rise).

I don't really want anything wider than the orbit's 263 waist, but 🤷‍♂️

With the tiny bit more taper, back foot is probably similar width, and the full edge will be engaged now, so should feel a little longer. Plus the slightly bigger radius I've been hoping for. Beast! Maybe I'll put $50/mo to the side and just buy one this fall.

On a different note, used my Sidecut tuning tools to do the edges on my cadet rock board yesterday. Has some scars that would need to be filled to correct, but outside of those, it's like a new edge. Second go (did the orbit first) was streamlined and I wouldn't be as afraid to do it on a new board now.

Lol the Orbit is my current max limit of how stiff I would/wouldn't want any new decks to feel like. It's def the stiffest deck I've owned and don't want anything that stiff or more, even. My taste has found a sweet spot in the ~7 flex range these days.

And similar sentiment as @Spenser, I prefer not to ride anything wider than 26cm ww these days. It's plenty of ww enough for me, esp in 8US VANS boots. Mid-wides mainly for me, going forward.

The orbit is surely sufficient in flex - really, I just want a longer one.

yeah, I have similar feelings about anything over 263 in a standard length, but that’s mostly just my bias from being thrown onto a 163w as my very first board at age 12.

the only board in a length I’d like now under that is the new Horizon 159, but I do love my current one, even at 263 for everyday riding.

but then to contradict everything, I’d love to take the 155 Experiment for a rip.
