A brand new old TF54 came home today. This time if I sell it I'll write notes as to why. In fact I'm going to do that every time I sell hardgoods now (I've owned and subsequently sold both this version and the newest version) so this doesn't keep happening to me...

This is probably the single greatest deck I’ve ever owned in my 36 years of snowboarding. So much, that when they changed the specs on the new “Transition Finder 54” I called Korua and they got me an old stock Tranny Finder 54 that I’m holding for when my current one dies.

After reading between the lines on some of their statements and with some Instagram DM conversations, I full think there’s a good possibility there will be at some point a Pin Tonic 60 or 58 which would be an OG TF 54, just with a pointy nose and tail. The Pin Tonic 64 is the OG TF 57 just with the pointy nose and tail. If they do drop a shorter Pin Tonic, I’ll likely double down on it.

Why diehard for the original specs? Just curious, not suggesting anything

More taper, more sidecut, more EE

I picked it up from The Easy Rider, they have a few older stock Koruas left, but the selection is definitely getting low. I think they have a Trenchdigger, Blindganger, and Bulldozer left. I'm getting rocker curious again (basically for cat days and drift board yo-yo laps) and a "cheap" blindganger *really* has me tempted. Interesting about the shorter Pin Tonic as well.

These are the specs on the OG TF line. On the 54 it's a 7mm wider nose and 1mm narrower tail that results in 26mm taper vs 18mm, and the 7.6m sidecut vs the current 8.1m. I've got a pic showing the two next to each other, I'll post up in the Korua thread.

That's like... a whole different board. Add in the setback change too. am I missing something... why even keep the TF name?

So their thought process was since they have the Pin Tonic in the line up and it had the same amount of taper and that they should move the specs on the TF to not be so redundant. Because the TF57 and PT64 are literally the same deck with a different nose/tail.
