yup, the current Flite Pro base is basically what the OG Contact was.
edit: actually no, this is wrong. current flight pro is an in-between mini & full disc

Re: Check out my new...
Rode it all over my home mountain Dundret, Sweden.
Corduroy, side hits, park, tight trees, low angle, some small steeps.
Light pow, wind packed concrete snow, and some pow with a bit more weight to it.
Handles everything exceptionally well. Off course it would be easier to ride the park with something smaller but I don't mind at all
It's the first board in years that I feel I could take out every day any conditions and be happy.
Right now I feel like most boards in my quiver have their unique characteristics and differences that I enjoy for different reasons, if I was looking for a one board quiver the Taka ep would be it

Re: Check out my new...
Which size did you choose? Did you size up from what you'd consider you're "normal" all mountain size? The board has my attention, I just wish I could see one locally.Gammalteknologi wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:19 am Rode it all over my home mountain Dundret, Sweden.

@Blessed420 yes I've visited svanstein a few times. in the 90s for contests and a couple times when Johan was still running the place.
A real hidden gem. Really good tree runs and fun banks along some of the slopes.
Short runs tho.

I have been to Svanstein twice, one of the best resorts ever. Owned by your childhood heros (Johan and Ingemar plus Jacob Söderqvist) and even got to ride with Johan.Blessed420 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:24 amGammalteknologi wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:19 am Rode it all over my home mountain Dundret, Sweden.

Really sad that they had to close. Johan is at Dundret now.

Re: Check out my new...
yeah it was the best place! loved the big ole malamute, always chillin in the parking lot. almost ran it over twice while reversing of the parking spot.
when i lived in oulu it was easy as it was always around 200km drive everywhere so if it was snowing go to svanstein otherwise always ruka.
and the hotel onsen was fabulous.

Re: Check out my new...
It was quite memorable when I was riding down powder on the t-bar route at Svanstein, and Ingemar was below at the lift station giving a thumbs-up. Usually, such behavior would result in shouting or having the lift pass revoked, but not at Svanstein during that time.unsuspected wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 1:20 pmI have been to Svanstein twice, one of the best resorts ever.
