do you eventually know if it is possible to buy the actual Cartel X highbacks as spare part?
At the official Burton Webside only Freestyle highbacks are offered.
My intention is to upgrade my old cartel with the new highbacks of the Cartel X. I don’t wanna buy a new set of Cartel X. It is just for shits and gigs.
Thank you and regards
I used to do this all the time for customers, and built a couple bindings for myself. Assuming it's still the same, dealers are able to order individual parts, in any color, so long as they're in stock - even past years. Whether yours will do it is a different question.. some can't be bothered

It was a magical website... like walking into a lego parts supply store from the 90s.

Thank you for the replies.
I also “moded” my Nitro Teams with new Straps and even my old Cartels with new straps. At Nitro and Union the spare part shop offers for the “normal” customer also high backs.
Unfortunately here in Germany most of the little local snowboard shops closed or moved more to online distribution. But I think I will try it and contact them directly. Maybe I have a little luck and they make me an offer. If not also ok. My Cartels still work.
Regards

I have no interest in reviving the Step On thread lmao.

Anyone tried the new Genesis EST Step On? Was lukewarm on v1 Step Ons when I demoed them years ago. Liked the locked-in toe-heel feel, hated the lock-in lateral feel, and the boots didn't work for me.

Between the impending reality of chasing down fallen groms, non-Burton boot options, and the urethane bushings on the side of the EST bindings loosening things up side-to-side, feels like might be worth giving them another shot in near future.

You'll probably really notice the superior performance as they eject you mid run at the Palisades.

I think based on other new fathers experiences on the bunny hill, whatever qualms you had will be overshadowed by their convenience when it comes to teaching toddlers

Yeah wasn’t sure if it was the cheetah or stellar. Burton said this was a previously Japan only board so makes me thin it was the later
