So... I pulled up my pant leg to take off my boot yesterday and my Boa knob dropped to the ground. Initially, I thought it would just pop back in, as I know they can do that. But on closer examination, it looks like I snapped it off of a part that is sewn into the boot (little black part in the center). It's part of a piece that is sewn into the boot itself.
I've had these for a couple of seasons, so I think I'm outta luck on the warranty side as well.
Any suggestions aside from "just buy new boots"? I'm thinking I'm SOL.
They're Rulers. I'll probably just rebuy the same boot since my boot is relatively Burton-shaped, and the mid flex is supportive enough for me, but the Photons are appealing.
Thanks!

I would hit up BOA and B in separate emails and see if either will fix it. When I worked at the shop it was always worth a shot if we couldn’t fix it on site. Have had luck with both companies regarding warranty/repair/or a credit.

there’s a lifetime warranty on any BOA parts. since it is inside the boot, i’d probably go through Burton vs BOA.

I never understood shifting the bindings unequally away from reference. like if I wanted +1", I'd do .5" evenly with both bindings. Seems weird to me to not be centered on the camber arc of the board.
Guess it's why it's all preference

This assumes reference is centered over the camber in the first place

Put your boot on, wind up the boa tight, epoxy it in, rule everywhere you go forever.

Thanks dudes! I appreciate the help! @coleslawed and @michaelangelo
Submitted a warranty claim to Burton. Gonna send in the one boot and see what they say.
Boa's site says to go through the footwear manufacturer for sewn/heat welded parts even though they do say that they have a lifetime warranty on all laces and dials.
Thankfully my old Imperials still have a little life left in them, so I'm hoping worst case scenario I can shop around a bit before pulling the trigger. It's been a few years since I've tried on every boot in a shop, might be that time.
If all else fails, I can glue myself in and perma-rule for all eternity per @C.Fuzzy's guidance.

it is false to assume the reference stance is centered on the "camber arc" of the board.

Hey guys,
do you eventually know if it is possible to buy the actual Cartel X highbacks as spare part?
At the official Burton Webside only Freestyle highbacks are offered.
My intention is to upgrade my old cartel with the new highbacks of the Cartel X. I don’t wanna buy a new set of Cartel X. It is just for shits and gigs.
Thank you and regards

My local shop always gets me all the bindings parts I want. (Bases and hibacks). I've built complete bindings with different parts. Ask at your Burton local shop...
