What boot did you have Kevington? I bought a pair of the team tls last season as I had to warranty my infuse. The price was too good not to give there boots a try even though I’ve been skeptical of the tls system.

The tls is great for on/off ease but having the extra laces to coil up with is a bit of a pain. I feel they could make them shorter to not have all that excess lace left over.
I don’t know if the durability is there with there boots but so far the cloud 9 liner is one of the best for my feet.

I've been switching between Adidas ADVs an K2 TTs, but have been using my TTs more and more. My last trip out to Abasin and Aspen I just wore the TTs.

Even for backcountry split stuff, I think I'll be fine with my TTs. New BOA seems locked down

How does the TT fit compared to our beloved Adidas?

Adidas has better heel hold, smaller footprint, generally more support

TTs are really soft and flexy, more comfortable, even driving my manual car, I'm confident with my clutch pedal.

More specifically, how's the toebox compared to Adidas?

massive toeboxes on K2 boots in my experience.

I had the El Mejor. Really nice leather shell, good liner, air bubble in the sole. Great premium medium to stiff boot. But TLS was just a bunch of strings all over the place and it came loose all the time. Maybe I was doing it wrong. But it seemed like a non-solution to a non-existent problem. The trap of a brand having to have their own version of lacing. Normal laces or BOA kind of covers all needs I think. It’s all personal taste but for me, hard plastic parts anywhere are a potential problem. You put them inside the boot, even more so. Even a great boot with BOA still has a hard plastic part exactly where you push your shin every time you make a toe side turn.

It obviously works for some people, but when I tried on a couple nitro boots a couple years ago at the shop I used to work for, TLS left me feeling WTF. None of them fit me well, so it didn't matter anyway.

Yeah def TLS can leave a bitter WTF is this nonsense taste. Took me awhile to get used too that’s for sure as it was not love at first sight.
