Final iteration: 2019 NOW pilots, dt hammock straps, jones toe straps with dt buckles, & O-drive hbs. No cutting or drilling involved.
with the dt B hammock it’s not necessary to make customization. the problem is to keep the jones strap which is what i wanted to keep the surf mode. In the toe strap I did not make changes since I don't dislike the jones and I left my B dt in my fish

Holy shit, a reaperwolf war pig in the wild. Hands down one of the coolest board graphics I've seen, wish Ride kept going along that route graphics wise, I feel like their 23/24 graphics are a little bland

@jota I think your modification will be fine tbh. I too think the screw holds most of the force and the metal hook is just there to keep the ratchet in position on the strap. If one was worried about micro cuts in your modification expanding they could brush in a coat of aquaseal and allow to cure before installing the b ratchets.

So I made a comment on my Salomon HSP’s way earlier that have the shadowfit and no forward lean adjuster on the high back. After riding them in Japan on a flat profile spring break 166, I’m not a fan of this combination. I didn’t have leverage w the high back and the flat camber would not engage as I wanted heel side carves on hard pack. It felt like I was skidding along in a weird way. I’ve run unions, where I always have a healthy amount of lean, on the SB in the past and it didn’t feel as skiddy through heel turns.
Looking at Salomon’s board line up, it doesn’t appear to have any flat camber profiles which probably doesn’t make this an issue if you go w a full Salomon setup.
Anyhow running the Taka w the bindings is fine the way that board is designed. Enjoyed it enough that I bought the board and binding setup.

Anyone provide feedback on the true size difference between the Medium and Large NOWs? I see a good deal on a Large, but I'm a size 9.
Would I be dumb or dumber to think It wouldn't be a big dill?

You do not want large with 9s.

Thanks guys. That's what I kinda knew but wanted to believe otherwise. I also had told myself I wanted to wait to get NOWs with the hanger swap sytem anyways. So I'll thorw a link to these Larges in the deals thread.

I think 8,5-9 is perfect for Now mediums. 10 is starting to push it.
