How is the new new ankle strap? I’m thinking of getting some DODs.

100% they killed it with this Toe Strap Design - the only one that comes close is the Nitro Toe Strap with Vibram (for example on Team Pro Bindings).
The only two Toestraps on the market where I NEVER had a movement on my boot, once you've locked it in, the stay in perfect position for the whole session.

100% agree. I’d go further and say Rome makes the best bindings overall.
That depends on the boots you are riding. Not every Boot fits into the Rome Bindings very well...

However, Rome's bindings are superb in built Quality and riding performance and they stepped up the game by a lot in the last 3 to 4 years.

Not sure, but I do know that Rome's toe ladders are a lot narrower than most other brands.

Ah. With the built in slide adjuster that would matter for the adjuster. But if a B ratchet fit the mounting holes you could use the B ladder.

Probably not going to try it anyhow. I'm pretty good with my strap set up at the moment

Softer than Imperial, on line with all the different descendants of Hail I guess.

Speaking of Imperials, mine are about shot but I loved them. What's the closest thing in the lineup now? Just get Ions and wait for them to break in? I assume the Photon is way softer than the Imperials were.

Imperial was a better boot than SLX and half the price, so really don't know. Just Driver X and Tourist left on that "platform", and Imperial was just in the middle. Could try a Photon I guess?
