skittles haha

Man i don't get that stuff, weird colors and patches.
Well its been the relatively slim cut boring adobe mud hut taupe colorways for a while and just as IRL it's swinging in the opposite direction to the skittle baggy days...I personally like bright stuff and when I ride with my GF she prefers I wear something bright so she can keep track of where I'm at on the runs.
B's AK stuff is usually a safe choice because the cuts are usually middle of the road = timeless.

also that collection is made from something I've never heard of before, Pertex® Shield — whereas AK is all gore

both come with lifetime warranties though

very cool, wish there were more colorways. 686 has really impressed me with the dispatch bibs i bought last season after destroying my volcom ones.

i am hoping my volcom gortex shell can last a little longer, but sick of the camo colorway and don't need much of an excuse to acquire more gear...

I’ve been pretty unimpressed with the other 686 jackets I’ve tried on and handled, but that Dispatch bib is fantastic and the best 2L piece I’ve ever owned. Super thoughtful features and burly construction. Only wish it came in more bolder color ways… they’re big on muted pastels and mud. Just went with black.

the reinforced knees and lower back of the leg areas are great, and the quality is excellent. it has done well touring and on sleds for me so far.

i also went with black as it was the only thing i could find in my size, wish they had bolder colors too, as the fiance and friends were not stoked when i was running an all black kit. unfortunately my trusty 12 year old patagonia pow slayer's zipper started to fail (had the jacket repaired a few times over its life hah) and i went back to my volcom gortex shell.

trying to buy things i "need" vs. want with outerwear, whereas boards i am always interested in adding to the quiver...

my biggest complaint with 686 is that they're still one of the biggest holdouts in making everything available in XXL

Volcom doesn't make XXL in everything either. They just started making the guide shit in XXL a couple years ago.

Wreck-It Kimchi strikes again, although this one feels especially l ridiculous.

These are $150 North Face “ Patrol Inferno FUTURELIGHT™ Trigger Mitts” I rode all of three days. Thumb panel has a clean break at the seam and both index finger tips are developing holes… basically every “e-tip” panel is failing from incidental contact with binding ratchets. These things weren’t worth the time I put into leather balming them lol.

I have a couple TNF mid layers I love, but their glove program seems trash. I paid $40 between sale price and a warranty credit from a set of liner glove that popped a seam. I’d be PISSED if I’d paid retail— $150 is approaching top end Hestra territory.

At least I’ve learned from repeatedly destroying gear to carry a spare set in the car 😂

So like 50% of kids at the hills I've been to are riding DOPE outerwear. I don't know if I'm even exaggerating. It's A LOT of what I'm seeing. Girls and Boys. Plus... tons of DOPE stickers on boards and helmets. If you don't have DOPE gear, you're a freakin' bum to these kids.

Haven't seen anything like it since Neff.
