Captians log...

They’ll put you in a better mood when you shred ‘em, so pull up a chair and talk about ‘em

Probably the wettest day I've ever had snowboarding 😅 Straight up raining at the base most of the day, and at times at the mid mountain, too. Everything but the alpine was wet and sticky, even riding on 2-day old wax.

Top was fun, though, with a good layer of fresh over the tracked out stuff from the weekend.

Happy to report that my Jones jacket and Trew bibs kept me dry and warm.

Colorado finally had a great storm cycle. Was able to get out 3 of the last 4 days and had over 3 feet of snow. Feels good to be in the flow.

We're edging on having to close if we keep losing snow with this warm-up.... but the piles they have on deck turned into a couple cool hits

Heading to Stowe in the morning. Can’t remember if anyone here is a local. If so, how’s it looking?

One of my girls rode 6+ hours with me yesterday and a couple hours the day before. She's feelin her new freedom off of the bunny hill.

Downside is We're going to be hitting mid 40s today. The melt off has begun. Feels like we've turned the corner on winter around here. We'll see.

i’m a bit worried the end is near, too, but March is always a wildcard for weather.
midwest is best

after 2 fun days this weekend, i'm at roughly 32 days i believe this season, with 3 pow days, my lowest ratio in many seasons. going to get one more day in next week, then won't be riding until late march. hope spring brings lots of snow here in colorado, but happy to take a break and get out of dodge for a bit, feeling a little burnt out.

another season where i am not going to leave the state for a trip which is a bummer, but will be much more intentional next year as i will have less riding time most likely with how work is shaping up.

hit one of my major trick goals for the season and landed a front 7 for the first time in forever, very stoked on that in my older age. small park jump at ruby hill and had to crank it as hard as i could, landed 3rd try somehow haha.

looking forward to snow stability and more bc exploration in march and april.

Hanging on by a thread up here. Borderline sketchy on the lower half, but the top was fun and slushy yesterday. Top got a few inches overnight and we found a couple decent pockets today. Working on a little edit this week. Side hits, stump jumps, rock taps, and goofy shit like this:
