+1 for Db luggage bag. Got two and planning on getting a third to replace a Dakine bag.

mine was dope for our montana trip. so nice to just be able to roll it up and stash aside once unpacked.

How to do with helmets when flying? Never traveled by plane before and need some info how to, specially with helmets.

pack it between the bindings in your board bag, gloves/goggles/socks stuffed inside around.

Exactly what I do. No issues to date.

I carry on helmets. They always say replace them after a good knock, and I’m sure they take a few from baggage handlers. Usually strap it to a pack or a duffel, and absolute worst case I wore one briefly getting on and off a smaller capacity plane in Japan with super narrow aisles.

Does anyone have strong opinions on boot bags? I want to get one bag I can centralize all of my gear in (at least boots, helmet, goggles, mitts, and pants; maybe a couple of tools and a mid layer) to make packing the car quick and tidy.

Looking at the Burton duffle options, is there any real reason to spring for the 90L Flight Attendendant duffle over the 70L Gig duffle or is that overkill

I have the 70L Gig Duffle. it's always the right size for resort riding at home, when traveling it's maybe a tad small when you wanna bring a bunch of extras.

I have the Multipath 90l Duffle as well. I use it for trips to Baldface.

I have the Burton rider’s Bag 2.0. 73L. Looks like the older version of the Gig Duffel. The Gig looks little taller and little more compact footprint, no mesh compartments on the ends. I really like the Rider Bag. Well built.

Technically too big for carrying on to a plane, but I make sure to underpack it a bit so I can shove it overhead… packed to the gills it is too bulky. Never had a problem carrying it on. The Gig looks little taller so might be little more problematic.

Having all my gear handy is nice. I keep a couple backups in the car for when I inevitably forget goggles or gloves. But 95% of the time I grab board, base layers outerwear, and bag, then go to good.
