Just ordered the Cadet LTD. Was 20% off which seems like poor form from the shop but I'll take it.

Looks like black topsheets next year (as well as a new bio-based material on a few of the decks)

Things locked up a bit here, but needed to move around, so went for a split. Carved the service road all the way down, which was nicely packed up top, and a little firm/chattery below. Covert is so damn solid. Only split thing I'm really feeling now is the metal bindings, and it's far from terrible. Karakoram recons should make this thing feel nearly normal.

Putting another vote out into the ether for a covert solid.

Howdy strangers, It's been a bit! I'm looking at US Horizon for a new do it all deck, damn I wish they had a '57 option. You guys that have posted about seem a bit bigger than me (I'm sitting about 150-155lbs on a 7 boot). Think the 155 will be enough deck to not outride it over full western resort days? I'm on a 156 2016 BSOD a lot, and feel like I get out of that boards comfort zone at times. Granted that year is a bit of a known dud.

This would slot in with Slush Slasher, and Party Shark to replace to BSOD, and I'll continue the rebuild from there.

Definitely think you'd be okay on the 155. They market the Horizon as a freestyle deck, but it's actually pretty stout.

yeah man, going from Karakoram Straightlines to Freerangers made a huge difference for me. The Straightlines are like full aluminum + carbon fiber, the Freerangers are just basic nylon composite... ride quality is so much better that I even use them on my regular boards. Full metal baseplates just feel so dead, absolutely no torsional feel for me

Agree with Nate. I had the older 155 and have the current 159. It’s not as soft as marketed. I’m 6’ 175lbs and the 159 is plenty board for me. The 155 would probably better for me for its stated purpose. The current 155 should be perfect for you.

I'm at around 175lbs and had no problem on a 154 cadet out west
