got out yesterday afternoon and this morning, one of my earliest starts in a long time.

only 1 trail open at arapahoe basin (Depending on what patrol is up to), but it's in decent shape. boy is snowboarding fun. being on edge on the transition finder and popping off side hits as fast as possible will never ever get old

First chairlift day for me and only the second time I’ve ridden a lift in November. It was lovely, limited runs and a bit busy since opening day fell on a holiday but fun.

It started dumping a couple days after I split, to the point we were filming last night at an NBD street spot in town, with a big drop off the end of a rail. Urban in Juneau is rare. Something like 2 feet at sea level. But in typical modern Juneau fashion, it warmed up overnight and is now going to dump heavy rain for at least the next week in the mid 40s, including most of the way up eaglecrest. It's not as if this pattern has never happened before, but it's almost become the standard in the past bunch of years.

We had a major snowmageddon event last year (broke a record), but quickly ended up with less snowpack in the mountains because it unleashed ungodly amounts of rain immediately after.

I don't like it
