Got the Passport out today. This thing carves ferrrrr sure, I was having a ton of fun laying it over. Really damp and plowed through all the early season crusty shit snow like it was nothing. My gripe is that in the context of a daily, I just couldn't butter the thing and it was generally too stiff to fuck around on/hit smaller side hits/get slashy/etc. I think the 159w is too much board for me, but I can't go to the 157 because it's too narrow for my 11s. If the 157 had like a 260 waist it'd be perfect. I also think I just like mid-flexing boards as I get older, go slower, and fuck around more these days. Still sick, though, and I totally get the hype for this board.

Loll nice. And I actually agree with most of the above. Rarely ever butter so don't mind the lack of flex for that. But do love it on sidehits/jumps/anything I can jump off. Though, I love doing that even with the more plank decks ie. Korua, US Orbit etc
.
And as I get older, I am enjoying riding relatively more chill flexing decks. Hence trying the Burton SK again last winter and enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would ... so I got one again lol.

I love my SK, wish I had bought the XX when they were cheap at the end of summer.

Instrument 57 worth a look. Same Landscape collection, same board engineer, bang on 260 mm waist. I chatted with Justin Clark on IG about it and his TL;Dr was similar, Passport has more aggressive sidecut and is narrower.
Nice, yeah I've glanced at the Instrument but might need to give it a second look now. I'm realizing that a K2 7/10 is like a Capita 9/10 haha. The nose-to-tail carbon stringers in the Passport probably have something to do with it as well.
Regular Super 8 should be good, You bought the Pro and send it back, right?

Yeah, the Pro was way too stiff so I sent it back. Iβve seen a few deals on the regular Super 8, just scared itβs gonna be as stiff as the Passport.

Nah, he's right on Super8, I've had that also. Not as stiff as the 57 Passport, which is essentially why i sold it to one of the guys in the crew. More in the SK range, a little more reactive if anything. Great board and def aligns even more with what you're looking for, as per your previous msg. Def worth trying.

Love the feedback, thanks dude! Iβll get the regular S8 on the shortlist.
