I really like the anon m3 zeiss lenses, any zeiss lens (giro) I’ve been happy with
Holy fucking shit, I just had my mind blown.
So switched to Dang this year. Love them, big time.
I don’t miss the price of Anons and what I feel have become a bunch of convoluted lens choices, while lacking captain obvious old standards like yellow and clear.
What I do miss is the Anon MFI.
I even got frostbite/windburn on my nose this winter….
So today, I’m digging in a pile of snowboarding shit and pickup an MFI face mask and start to consider if I could glue magnets to a Dang frame and make my MFI work with the frame…. So I take a MFI hanger and put it up against the frame to see how they match up, and to figure out where I might be able to glue magnets, and the fucking thing sticks to the frame!
The lens magnets are strong enough that the MFI sticks. It doesn’t line up perfectly, but it works. I’m hyped.
So I try it with an actual face mask and it sticks, again, it’s not perfect, but it works. So hyped.
The connection isn’t as strong as an actual MFI frame, but it’s gonna get the job done.
I’m gonna text Beresford a video… and see what he says/thinks
Will cut the ends off one set so they don’t stick out and give it a whirl at the resort to see how it works IRL.
