Union could be doing some really cool custom releases, but they just keep slapping clip art onto their high backs instead.

Based on all of this and the other responses in here... I'd go Drives and just buy Burton straps. If you hate them the resell value will be high. When I dumped a few pairs last year with all Burton straps I got really good money for them, people were glad to buy them with good straps... I know that Jones straps are better, but still nothing is as good as the Burton Strap game.
Which burton straps are the preferred to upgrade Now Drive?
Burton Double Take Hammock and Burton Double Take Asym seems the best you can find as spare parts.
Size S for an M Now binding, right?
is it the same for the toe straps?
do you need to upgrade even the ladders?
thanks pow_hnd
Yes, Hammock straps. And yea, Small for NOW Medium, on the ankles, toe straps just do the same size, and yes I upgrade the ladders, because I go Double Take
https://www.burton.com/us/en/p/double-t ... 18391.html
And then I do Supergrip toe straps..
https://www.burton.com/us/en/p/supergri ... 18301.html
THESE ARE THE TOE LADDERS YOU NEED...

They are the smile free ones.. The ladders with the smile you have to cut, so don't get them.
DON'T GET THESE

and then the bindings end up like this..

Thanks for this, really helpful. When you say toe strap "do the same size" do you mean small or your typical size? I am a 10.5 B boot and I run med B bindings and on the toe ladder I am usually pretty close to the end.

I was skeptical, but then the Church of EZ Loungin Saints showed me the light.

Toe strap, stay same size as binding, ankle strap down size one size...
So for Medium Drives, small ankle straps and medium toe straps.

Rome aux tech straps are the way IMO that's what I have on all my now's. Drive, O-Drive, and select pros are what I run.

Are ankle ladders included with the hammock straps? Or do you get two sets of the double take toe ladders?

Just ordered som Aux tech straps from Rome. The foam straps on my Katanas are comfortable but a bit mushy and vague.
However, protruding metal parts on the inside of the strap look like they're going to hurt. Anyone had a problem with this?
I'm kind of surprised as otherwise Rome bindings seem very well thought out.

Burton (and most other companies I would guess) straps have those parts recessed because its basic common sense.

After seeing these I might just go all in on Now/Jones for the comfort factor.

I’ve never had a problem with those straps on my Katanas. No pressure points or marks on my boots or anything. Rome bindings have the anchor points for their ankle straps sitting way out though, so it might be different on a pair of NOWs.
Side note: get those Jones straps just to have anyway. $10 for the toes and $17 for the ankles and they feel really nice on my Select Pros.

Good point about the different anchor points, I guess thats why people size down when putting a different ankle strap on Nows. I have an old set of Now Pilots that I like, might just get a set of Mercury or Drive and offload the Katanas. Ideal binding would be the Mercury for the good straps with the Drive highback. It looks narrower and more pre-rotated. The Mercury highback looks really wide and curved in a way that it would get in the way on my front foot.
