BD Compactors are pretty notorious for breaking. Multiple shop folks warned Wreck-It Kimchi to not even bother.
I had Expeditions for a while, but couple season ago bought the folding BCA Scepter 4S.
I'm stoked on them, even though they're a little heavier:
Notched handle, which is great as a scraper and reaching climbing wires.
Adjust on the fly, because I only need to adjust length in one spot versus two on the 3-piece compactors.
Small enough I can just toss them in my pack.
Cheap for collapsible poles.
If I bought today, I'd buy the G3 Pivot. These look dope, they're lighter than the BCA version (on par with the BD Compactors), have the notched handle, and the cable folds OVER the handle. Means they're 1-2" shorter than other company equivalents AND the pole stays together better when folded without needing to secure with an additional strap.

I have compactors, but I don't tour even remotely as much as Tyler. I think they're 10 years old now.. one end of one section cracked a little, but hasn't been an issue.
Functionally I've liked them plenty, but with all the great options these days, I'll be looking elsewhere if I ever need a new set.

Hyped for this one. I feel like I want another new jacket now too, hah. Dark teak guch is on my mind, but not sure I want to pay for it.

Not quite right for me. I like stiffer boards with a larger radius and more edge. However, the 61 would be doable, and they used to make a 67 that coulda been fun.
Being so used to the orbit 57, hammerhead 71, and cheater 170, my squash 63 split feels a tad "lesser" than I prefer sometimes... but I don't tour often anymore. It's still a great ride. Think it's a little stiffer than the covert, has more edge, larger radius, and is full camber

not super new, but some additions since last season.
Nitro T1 for park days, HPS Taka for surfy fresh days.
Volcom L Gore kit, new Areth Rin’s from Deeluxe.

Love it. Is that a Macon 2.0? How do you like it?

Speaking of the Taka, this is our newest edit of one of my close bros in our crew, now living in Vancouver the last 5-6 years. Really enjoys his Taka 58. Didn't at first, but once he rode it in its optimal conditions, totally won him over especially for the riding he enjoys over there. That, and my old Super 8 which became his designated DD.
