Where did you price match from? What was the deal?

I got it for $114, Evo price matched from https://www.als.com/northf-m-ceptor-jac ... Id=1156186 but it looks like the price went up to $160.

Thanks for the answer. I just googled "DryVent" and it looks like "FutureLight" is their Goretex competitor. Not sure where "DryVent" stacks in the competition.

If it worked and performed anything close to Gore-Tex, there would not be leftover stock that was marked down that drastically.

That’s the easy, simple and true answer.

There’s more to go into about Futurelight, but it is most definitely not a rival to Gore-Tex, let alone Gore-Pro.

For better or worse, Gore still makes the absolute best membranes available. Companies try to use other products to increase their margins, but in the end, almost every company that quits using Gore as their primary membrane, they end up going back, because they want to sell products, and they realize those higher margins are gone, because they are having to fire sale products like the jacket in question.

I wish they would post this years AK 457 on the website. Super curious to see what colorways they are offering it in this year.

AK457 is no more. They've meshed into the main line and call it "[ak] Japan Pro Guide":

Still same team involved in its development, as far as I know, and I don't know much more beyond that. Yet.

It's still AK457... They are just using weird listing names for it

Will Burton Ak457 be hitting US site this year?

Just got word from my homie that works @ corporate in Burlington. AK457 will hit the US website on 10/3.

These are the colorways... Going Turbo Red myself.

In a perfect world, but I’m more team AK457 Guide Jacket, best I’ve ever owned. The one I have now got torn last year, so I got get a new one, so red it is.

But, if they make a blue one next year I’ll be for sure swooping it up.
