Same thing happened for me on my mullair. I emailed them and they let me chose a new board. Contacted Merwin directly as Swedish distribution wouldn't help me.

Loving the Banked 159 for a bit of everything. Might add a 162 for pow and sidecountry.

hell yeah @Kevington, i love my 59 as well and have had it in deep pow and it performed quite well at my current weight (162lbs/73.5kg). a 62 would be great for bigger lines and more backcountry oriented things, no doubt. will see how the 59 does in sled access/ bigger mountain terrain in a few weeks for me.

i haven't had multiple of the same boards in a quiver before as i usually have had boards for different purposes, but a few sizes in the BC would be fantastic.

i personally love how damp these things are, but am curious how a cadet 62 would be for me as well....

I love the dampness/dampening/damping?? too. I liked the Cadet in pow but not so much on hard snow. The Banked Country is probably my favourite board ever for riding both with minimal compromises.

I had multiple sizes of the Rome National for a few seasons and it was great. No adjustment period just more/less stability, float etc. Also nice to get off the what board to bring/buy train for a while.

All the clips above (and any other pow zones I ride) involve getting in and out via terrain I’d really prefer not to ride on a wide board with a big nose. I’m also often messing around in the park and riding groomers on the same day. The Banked just feels so comfortable in any of these situations. A little extra surface area for pow and a few cm extra edge for carving would be sweet. I’m only a few kg heavier than you and the 159 floated fine but this style of board (fast, smooth, old school shaping) just begs to be ridden long.

Avoriaz and it's sidecountry. Great resort that has been supportive of snowboarding since way back. The log jibs are in a zone called The Stash. It's a bunch of features made of fallen trees, spread out through a forest. It's the go-to spot for days when the high alpine is storm bound or lo-viz and is super fun on a pow day. It was Jake Burton who came up with the idea for it. A sustainable park that is fun for the whole family and is even better when there's pow. There are two other parks and you can get a park pass for €30 that actually covers a really big area and a good number of lifts and groomers.

Nice @Kevington Is there a huge difference between the first year BC and the current versions? There is one locally quite cheap (1st year).

Now mine has broken in I don’t notice much difference. I guess mine is year two with a year three graphic. There might be differences between years one and two.
My friend who is smaller than me and usually rides softer boards took some laps on it and said “it’s not nearly as gnarly is I expected”.
