Today was rad. Ridge should open tomorrow, so bring on the pow fest.

Saturday was a really cold day, -11/12°C or 10/12°F

Really good groomers, and some very light leftover powder.
Great day.

I really needed a balaclava, I think i'm going to buy one.
Also, I need a new helmet

Get it, gents. I'm sitting on 2 days so far this season. Poor conditions + holidays + work + infant have kept me off the hill. I'm hoping to get some more days in February and springtime (if we can get enough of a snowpack to make up for an awful December).

Snowmageddon up here. This was our roof earlier, from the past 8 days I think. Keep in mind Juneau is at sea level. Recorded over 55" of snowfall. She's 5'5, lifted up about 8" by the bottom layer. The back yard is nearing tits deep.

Eaglecrest is closed every Mon/tues, so IF they can open tomorrow, it's gonna be a doozy.

And rain starts soon down here. Up to 45° in a few days. Shit is going to be an absolute mess.

Last Wednesday at Snowbasin.

This is 10 mins before they started loading. It was 10" new and got like 5-8" more during the day. Absolute ghost town. Basin is fucking huge. First three runs never crossed a single other track. Walk on gondolas all day long. Untracked to the end of the day. Will probably be "the" resort day of the year for me.

This brings back good memories. That day at Basin together few years back was one of the best resort pow days of the past 5 years. I've had better runs and even better snow, but the vibe was so chill without wrangling powder frothing crowds at a big gnarly mega resort.
