Not really wanting to give up on regular bindings and Adidas boots, yet.
If the boots work for you, by all means go for it. If not, don't try to force it. You can always get a pair of Supermatic or FASE bindings next season if that's the case.
Burton Wides fits my feet, not perfect but with some boot fitting they should be.

Tried Supermatics two weeks ago and prefer SO system if I was changing setup.

His heel cleat was not seated into the binding. User error. The OP even states as much. You're such a troll lol 😂

If you have engaged the heel cleat with even the first click you cannot pop out without engaging the lever.

No way. A rock, stump or ice chunk I guess it is possible but incredibly unlikely. Hasn't happened to me or any of my riding buddies in hundreds and hundreds of days.

Takes a lot of force to trigger that lever from my experience.
