Wish Anons fit my face. The Asian fits might be better, but I've never seen a pair in person and haven't been tempted enough to special order a set. The magna-tech is pretty damn user friendly.

Smith IO7s for me. Got 2 pairs. Lens swapping isn't THAT bad but I usually just carry one both frames on me with different lens options.

Just got 3 replacement lenses and my 4 existing lenses are still in ok shape, so I should be good on goggs for next 10 years or so.

Probably going to ride my Crowbars until I'm dead bc I have like 8 different lens for em. Once you get to that point it's difficult to think about starting over.

I apparently just have a weird in-between face. My face is too flat for "standard" fit and too curved for "Asian" fit. I've likely tried on hundreds of goggles, including going straight down the aisle to try on scores of goggles on display at a Japanese retailer. A couple Smith Asian fits fit me OK and the IO7 is best I've found so far... and of course the IO7 is now discontinued (hence stocking up on lenses).

No joke, when my IO7s die I might consider a set of vastly overpriced 3D printed custom goggles. Not being able to breathe because my bridge is getting crushed and being able to see because I suddenly tear up north of 45 mph are both no bueno.

For me it's less the sunk cost, and more than Smith discontinued the IO7 and they seem to uniquely fit my face well. I pick up replacement lenses at every opportunity and have a bunch of duplicates in my board bag-- I have at least 3 "Chromapop Storm" lenses.

To be honest the discontinued quick swap design of the IO7 kind of sucks. I knock the lens open a half dozen times a season adjusting my goggles. BUT they uniquely fit my weird face.

Have you tried a different face?

I’ve tried several top Oakleys, Dragons (the worst lenses from the top tier imo), Giros and 1 model of Spy and Anon and nothing beats the Squad XL on sale.

Crazy how cheap it can be for a sweet frame with 2 chromapop lenses included.

That's become a big one for me, also. As I do most of my riding during the evenings/night here, locally. Been on the Line Miners for a few years now, but have found myself using my AB Pill Air goggs the most these days. Love the very low profile and shape of it, even more than the Miners. Plus, that's what has the clear lense, so has become my DD the past few winters.

Ordered some discounted Smith Squad Mags (while i had Anon M4S in a cart in another browser window).
This place should get sponsored for the sales it generates… ;)
