Good info to be gained from the Mack Dawg Bombhole ep. It was interesting to hear that perspective on where forum was headed pre burton buyout. Not all beers and skittles as a lot of fanbois make out.

Yup. I worked in the industry. It was not in good shape. So many people have this delusional thought process that Forum was doing great and that Burton tanked it. It was not. It never once registered inside the top 10 in units moved according to SIA numbers. They sold a shitload of stickers, tshirts and beanies....
But hardgoods was another story. At least this time around the boards will be good. The first go round, before Burton jumped in, their warranty return rate was more than half their issue.
You need to move a lot of units in hardgoods to make them profitable unless you own your own factory. Gonna be interesting to see how long they last at The Mothership. Word on the street is a few brands had to pull out of there because they couldn't meet the minimums. With Forum struggling to move hardgoods before I wonder if they will be able to sustain the number that The Mothership wants in order for it to be worth everyones time.

Seems like no-one with the right knowledge running the ship, similar to Grenade. Non Stop party/froth... Plenty of merch being spread out, but no one keeping an eye on the books.

The Forum relaunch should come complete with a juicy tell-all documentary of it history to let kids know why dufug they should care. Tell the story!

Relaunch is live…. $690 DTC only… Pre-Order only…
This appears as a cash grab.
Wonder how long it will last?

Should be fun to see. If they are only doing one model at a time, with preorder, and put together some nice team content, who knows? Got alot of rebuilding to do though.

Considering the people at the helm here I don't think they'd tarnish their position in snowboard history for a cash grab. This isn't MFM and Roach. lol. Also, doing them at the mother ship seems to be a commitment in itself. I'm sure there's cheaper options. I am somewhat surprised both boards are twins. But it's on par for the brand history so I probably shouldn't be all that surprised. All in all... seems on par for what I'd expect from this experiment.
This website is a manifestation of visual and auditory artifacts decoded from remnants of Forum's cultural impact within our snowboard community

Capita should’ve just bought the name and started pressing 3-4 boards a season using existing molds while just switching up graphics. Easy money maker.
I’d buy a “Forum Destroyer edition” Outsiders if it cost the same and had a throwback graphic.

I've given Mervin plenty of crap for putting "sintruded" bases on $600+ boards... Forum upping the ante to $700.
I hope they're good and committed, but early signs point to money grab...
