Must be, for the US folks. Canada/global shops are growing, but I think online is still where most of his sales come from.

With current strong US dollar, buying boards from Europe— or basically anywhere that isn’t America —ain’t that bad. Maybe $60-70 on shipping, but if you’re paying in Euros you’re getting a de facto exchange rate discount.
Back when Korua still charged Americans in Euros, buying direct from Germany and covering shipping was cheaper than buying US MSRP from a shop— likely why they stopped charging in Euros lol.
Similarly bought a Dupraz from France few years back, the “discount” more than offset shipping.

He does free shipping for direct orders, like korua.
When he sent the new shorty as replacement, I covered shipping and it was in the $80s. Wayyy cheaper than anything I've ever been able to find on my own.

def a Biru here, too. it was just in the stand at the chalet, didn't get to peep their riding on it at all.

I wasn't supposed to share it last fall for some reason, but I think I can now… after Lars started his channel and had a couple videos blow up, Seal contacted him via video saying he'd love to ride together and talk product (yes I have the video), and gave him his personal contact info. Something about how he's been doing this for years, and Lars has been one of the only people in recent times to have such a deep understanding of & great way of conveying info about this type of riding. Showed Lars his collection of historical carving product he has in storage. Pretty insane! Bunch of iconic 90s Burton stuff & beyond. I hardly know the first thing about the guy, but I do know he's famous, and was pretty rad to see he's a legit snowboard nerd. With good taste too
not like his bank account would even notice if he bought 100 cheaters, but I also like that he bought it straight-up at full price.

I'm not sure what kind of guy he is, but I read a quote attributed to him many years ago that resonated with me. It made me think that he's a real rider and not just a celebrity trying to be cool. I don't remember the quote verbatim but someone asked him what he liked to do when he was not working on his music, and he said that snowboarding was the only thing that mattered outside of his music. He claimed that the only time he doesn't hear music in his head is when he's on his snowboard. I can relate to that, for me when I'm riding I'm totally in my own world, and 100% focused on my next turn.
