Don't know... But I just spent all day riding with a buddy who rides Rome bindings.. They're Union 2.0. He had to tighten his hardware twice today and says he needs to basically tighten it and his mounting hardware after every ride..

No thanks,.

Any idea which year/model he's riding? Haven't had any of those problems since they did the redesign.

Haven’t a clue, I’ve never paid attention to Rome at all. Couldn’t literally tell you a single thing about them.

What is the difference between the smile free and the smile toe tongues for Burton bindings? Do the smile free smooth glide ones have the removable pin like the DT ones? Any reason not to just cut the smile off and use them? I’m switching to smooth glide buckles/leather straps on a pair of EST genesis.

Think I did that in some way, they seem to just be a stopper for some bindings, because you have the two position adjustment, and the smile presses it into the notch. The real problem is with hinge bindings, where actually getting the damn strap off is a pain, and probably putting a new one in, because theres a pin for the hinge system in the way, at least with the one I have. Should probably look into that first.

Think I’m finally gonna try some NOWs or Jones’, just too curious at this point about all the hype. Just a quick double check: medium hanger 3s for adidas Acerras 10.5s and DC Transcend 10s? Sounds like large might be too big.

Yes, Medium, I have DC Transcends in 10 and they fit perfect.

Medium for Acerra 10.5s. I have Tacticals size 10, and am smack dab in middle of size run. Can't speak to DCs but if profile's somewhat comparable, think medium should be fine.

Edit: Know you clarified, but just in case anyone else sees this, this only holds true for Hanger 3. For Hanger 2.0 I think you're right on the cusp and I'd probably go large.
