The Official Korua Shapes Thread
Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
I am really curious about the nanofibre resin they've been offering this season. If their claims are legit, a XTC carbon split with the new resin could be the shit. I've had an old Khyber split for years, and it's a great, versatile shape.

got the 154 TF on friday finally, and took the maiden voyage yesterday. what a fun snowboard, can't wait to get more familiar with its tendencies and behavior in various scenarios.
edit: on day 2 it's become one of my all time favorite decks, wow. i can't believe how playful it is and can still go mach 11 through chunder. will be interesting to see how it does on bigger terrain in jackson next week!
the TF is the only board i've ridden my last 8 riding days.... i need to swap the straps on the drives for B straps but other than that, it is hard to not pick this setup every time i go out it seems. going to try and force myself to ride my deep thinker today though i think haha

Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
5 days on the new CR+… a few quick thoughts.
It’s a vast improvement over the last iteration of the CR+ in terms of stability and burliness. Charges through everything and holds edge just as well at lower speeds as it does going Mach. Haven’t been able to wash it out on our icy Ontario patches, even when I go heavy on the back foot.
It’s significantly heavier than the old CR+, and probably even a hair heavier than the Classic. This doesn’t bother me in the slightest as I prefer having more substance to a deck. I only ever wanted to ride the old CR+ in early morning groomers. That thing carved surgically and was super fast, but it wasn’t as stable as I would’ve liked once things got more rutted throughout the day. I found myself reaching for the Classic CR more often and eventually unloaded the Plus. This newer construction doesn’t flap around at the nose anymore. It’s like they took the Classic CR, thinned it out slightly, threw in those titanium (or is it actually titanol?) rails, gave it the Plus base, and said “Here dude, we know how you ride so we made this thing for you.” It doesn’t float like my Dart60 or will be as versatile as my Pencil/Pencil+, but it carves harder than those models and is easily the most stable of the bunch. Full camber; go figure.
My only gripe is that, while FAR more durable than the other Plus topsheets that had a laminate that peeled up or bubbled, this Perlatec topsheet (same as the base material) collects snow like crazy… I think I’m actually gonna try waxing it. If that works (and I don’t see how it won’t), then damn. I’m a happy camper.
It’s been an absolute joy to ride so far. I can actually see myself reaching for it more often than the Pencil, which is my all-time favourite board. It caters to our conditions more on any given day.

Now I want a Cafe Racer + to even out my quiver.
Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
should def put some phantom on those topsheets:) tit-anal is just alu sheets with some alloy variation to improve bonding and strength
Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
Stiffens/dampens/improves power, granted applications vary. Looking forward to my new Shorty.
