Day one on Now Select Pro today. Took them out to rip around on a Solly Dancehaul. I had some IPO years ago when Now first dropped. I was extremely underwhelmed and promptly gave them away to a friend. He’s still rocking them too, after a warranty or two of the kingpin. Anyway, a deal came up, I’m bad at a saying no, Select Pro added to my Atlas and Falcor collection.
I gotta say, that heel cup keeps ya locked right in. That was very apparent from the get go. To the point where I keep thinking my heel strap was still attached at the lift line when it wasn’t. Just the heel cup locking me in place. Overall I didn’t hate the straps. Needed to bump up the forward lean on the rear binding. It’s gonna take a few days to get my early season legs under me and get a feel for these binders. But it’s not hate at first ride, so that’s a plus.

I just remembered… NOW's Kingpin Tool-less 2.0… They didn't end up shipping last year right? They have videos now on the site but… I can't see how it's different from the previous version. Still just a (too short) screw, right? I seem to remember they were talking about a pin system, no? Or was that 3.0 and it got totally scrapped?

Just looks like improved stuff, durability/ease of use. Like Apple ads, no specs, but much more better than last years model!
I can see why this is useful on Now bindings. Hard bushing and short screws makes it demanding to swap boards without it, and Tool-less is a plus I guess. Still like to bring a tool when I go boarding, and don’t see it as a big time saver.

Nah man I woulda sworn they were hyping some sort of twist-on pin system last year, not thumb screws.

It's, in my opinion, a super time saver. I have it for all my decks and am down to just two sets of actual bindings these days. After you ride your bindings for a bit it gets fairly easy to swap bindings.

they’re only pressure/friction fit on there, no bolts. i can see them popping off pretty easily when people unstrap for the lift and not noticing until the top.

Haven’t seen that, but depends how it’s made. If they need to use hollow pins and springs, it might be better to just go with standard screws that can be fixed easier.

Oh shit. That seems like sort of a big flaw. How has that not been changed?

Don't they have snaps or something? Can't remember from the pairs I had, but don't recall seeing any reason they should easily pop off unless installed incorrectly.
