6-7 mm... does not feel like "low camber" in this day and age. That was a concern for me when I was considering Stranda, but that's pretty healthy.
How much tail kick does the Shorty have?
Yeah, it's pretty medium/healthy. Stoked to see it. The purple is low, but definitely there. My hammerhead has about the same (low) but it's pretty much all camber with an elongated nose contact point.
You can see the tail rise a little better in the picture I posted in the stranda thread, looking the other direction, as well as more details. It's not a lot, but enough to feel fine on groomers. Shorty tail contacts are pretty close to the tip too, as you can see. I could take a side profile later.
Alternatively, something like the squash has more rise/curve, but the notch is flat and kicks up a little snow when switch, either flat or when changing edges. That's something I like about the orbit - more kick and the notch is elevated.
Of course, when riding a shorty, you're not really thinking about going backward. No problem doing so, though.

I think this is really gonna close out my set, but was too good of a deal to pass up. Otto 161.
Have a strong suspicion that the two decks I'm gonna keep in the van full time are now going to be the TF 57 and Otto 61..

Love to get your thoughts on this once you get it out on snow. I had a Dynamo 156 for a bit a few years back and loved the idea of it, but on snow it just felt a bit off somehow? I'm wondering if it was the mag that was throwing me off. This still has my interest though, I'm a big fan of Sweetin so if this works for me I'd be stoked to support him. If you have a chance could you post a pic of the camber profile? And does the mag look pronounced or is it one of the mellow versions?

I now have a few resort days and some sidecountry hikes on the Rig.
Up until I got it I've been riding my assassin 159 and my Wolle fish this season.
Both salomons are the softest boards I've ridden in years.
Compared to them the Rig is alot stiffer.
Rig is exactly what I want in a dd. It carves well, doesn't flinch if I point it yet playful enough for butters without being too demanding.
I don't like magnetraction but on the Rig it's mellow enough to not bother me.
Haven't had the opportunity to test it in any deep snow only some leftover from the last snowfall weeks ago.
Conditions here are a mix of every less than ideal type of snow and it handles it like a champ.
I'm so glad I decided to get one.
I'll try to snap some pics of the camber soon

Since I live in a camping trailer this was the only flat surface I could find.
