164 Pencil Plus on top of a 172 Pin Tonic, aligned on the insert packs.

Pretty much as expected. The sloping sidewalls match up so the PT is wider but hidden in the light. The PT nose is "flatter" (doesn't curve up as high.

Just got PT back from structured basegrind and tune, cannot wait to take it out, hopefully tomorrow.

Sweet! PT72 would be such a blast. Would love to try one this winter.

Although I cringe for your topsheet, using those Re:flex baseplates...
a bit of taper, a lot of camber

I put a ~ .5mm rubber sheet down to protect the topsheet 😅

Loved my Genesis X Re:flex bindings but they destroyed my CR topsheet. Have since switched to Union and haven’t had a single issue, but I’m pretty diligent about checking my gear before each ride.

Took the CR out for its maiden voyage

Love how locked in it feels when I’m doing my heelside carves…it’s also the board with the shallowest side cut I own (nitro squash is next) so that prob has a huge factor to it. Can’t wait to try it on some fresh groomers or ice

My friend holding it in awe (we swapped decks and I was happy to ride his Instrument for a few laps)
