I got a new helmet today. My Smith Code is dented to fuck after 100 days or so. This maze was about half the price and seems to fit me even better. I traded some old gear in for it, shame they only had it in white.

Maze 4 lyfe baby. Lightest and most low profile helmet out there and doesn’t look like ski dad shit. So bummed it’s being replaced next season.

Both my kids ski, does that make me a ski dad?

I’m hoping my knee feels up to it later in the week and I can actually ride and see how the helmet feels. I was scared of the lack of BOA adjustment but trying it on with goggles and a buff it felt really good.

I go no ear pads + beanie underneath and I can’t even tell it’s there, love it!

Not new, but grabbed this earlier last year in hope for a
Japan trip.. But alas, not this season :(
Anyway this Weston Japow ‘pow slayer’ should do the job when I get back there! Shorter, fatter and stiffer version of the normal one. Made at gp87.

New Dakine Heli Vest. New Shovel and new Probe. Already had a second beacon. Will just permanently leave this in my van and ready to go for sidecountry action from Brighton and Snowbasin. Honestly, the side country at Brighton isnt really anything to be worried about for the most part, but Snowbasin has some seriously high consequence terrain right out of the gates at the top of John Paul and the Tram. Rarely ever hit it because I never have a kit with me... Problem now solved.

I’d like a second beacon for practice reasons or a cheap app/transmitter for practice.
