Only thing to note at the moment, given we only have the bunny hill and I can't go very fast, is the sidecut definitely wants more speed and pitch. Takes more angle to make a tighter turn, but that doesn't line up with limited speed. Also haven't ridden a board without taper in a while... no, I'm not counting 2mm. Will be sweet when I can open it up, but it's fun so far. Calm & sturdy.

@Spenser
I've been kind of back and forth between the Descender, Flagship and Banked Country over the last year, but I found a Descender 161 for 20% off and snagged it. If its too big/stiff for me, I'll pass it on to someone else, and I think, try a Banked Country 159. Lars had told me that he thought the Descender 161 and BC 159 are pretty similarly sized.
Really looking forward to your thoughts on it when you get the board on snow.
Haven't ridden the other two but Descender is on top of my list if I need a freeride board/split. Demoed one in shitty early season conditions and it felt great. Just powered thru everything.

Been on the BC for a couple of years now and would like to try out the Gremlin. Anyone spent time on the Gremlin? The specs on the 161 are calling me.

Gremlin is not that stiff, so don't undersize alot at least. Mag feels like a waste on it, doesn't do anything, but it's there. Base felt ok out of the box. Nice finish overall. Best feature was the color (orange). Did ok on parkjumps. Would have felt ok as a shortfat freestyle pow board, if the nosekick wasn't too steep. I guess it gets a couple snowflakes, felt like I couldn't place that board, and it was never top of my list for anything, so gave it away.

That is more in line with what I'm looking for.

Decided to go ahead and sell it. Most likely would have anyway, but our winter just isn't happening… and then I bought a new split
It's on snowboard trader for 340, but I would sell it to someone on EL for what I paid ($300) + shipping. USPS ground is looking like $30 if you can wait, or it's $45–65 for priority depending on location. Apparently I can ship to Canada for a reasonable price now too... under $70 insured expedited UPS to ON, for example
Of course no pressure, but you get first crack at it since you posted this
It has a few purely cosmetic things, but no damage, unless you count this inconsequential base doink (which I only noticed yesterday when waxing). It's a light dent in the base material, but not a scratch or cut
