I am happier for having cut back time on SBF and /r/snowboarding Reddit. Good people and convos pop up on both, but good fucking lord the signal-to-noise ratio is abysmal. Any time I spent on those forums itching to talk snowboarding with anyone with a pulse has largely been replaced by kids, work, and Tribute Lounge and Lars videos.

Haven’t been back in years, seems like it’s still the same vibe.

It’s hilarious watching them talk shit on EZ. Their entire 25/26 thread was just people taking from our thread and reposting it a few days later. That Nivek dude is Angry’s little henchman.

Johan @ C3 ran a silly contest for folks to try to hijack threads and win a pair of bindings, someone else had the bright idea that we should make all of the text in our posts hyperlink to photos of Neil Patrick Harris. that got me flagged as spam pretty quickly.

Yooo... beef with snowboard forum, or rather them having beef with us over here is meh. We're doing the same thing on different forums, but I guess there's gotta be some tribal war or what? Squash that and aim at the real enemy... ... ... lunchmeat prices.

I don't know if it's that we don't like starting new threads, but more so that conversations roll along and we just say whatever in the 2 dozen threads that get the visits. I think just basically, we're not big enough to be overwhelmed by posters.

Plus, I've given Burton plenty of hate over the years, and I still will on some shit. I still got some ill feeelings over C3 killing easylounging and not letting anyone take it over. B gets a lot of hate here actually. I don't think there's a brand that is exempt from criticism, except maybe rolex.

Yes. A little bit ago. Also I think whatever the other one was that Jamie had too (cant recall of the top of my head) I saw and grabbed and put a forward on it. So, basically a consolidation... ish.

all the shit talking here is what makes it fun. we have credible riders giving solid feedback on small boutique brands and the big dogs. lots of shop and ex shop people here and insiders in general.

All of this is 100% true and what makes this place unique.i love the comment about more boards than days we ride. Fuck I bet I splitboard more days than most of those peeps but their butts in a chair.
