interesting. I wonder if they didn't have many hits with their training on ENDVR this season. not sure why they moved away from SPARC, that's what the majority of other brands use and it seems pretty smooth.
EV seems more like a discount/outlet/pro deal site these days. The training thing is still there, but they market it more and more to end users of gear rather than solely those that work in shops selling it. The Burton discount didn’t even require training (not much does now TBH) and I was able to get in as an environmental scientist somehow… totally gonna use AK jackets for “field work” 😂.

They are leveraging every channel they can get now, overall sales are pretty bad this year for everyone, or so the wind told me.

Maybe I'm stupid but i don't get the point of all these wacky contours on the parts of the board that are least likely to touch the now. I get lifted contact points but how is this not a pow board? How deep does slush get were you guys ride?

Obviously you’re not a bowler

Looks like its just the softgoods, but still pretty awesome.

Name Dropper is definitely softer than the SP. I don’t find pure pop too playful, it’s mainly camber and then flat through the contact points. Pretty planted overall.
curious, perhaps what you say coincides with my perception... An ex professional friend of mine always changes boards but is now on his third name dropper. He encourages me to ND because he tells me that ND is very playful.

But I tried it when it appeared on the market and I don't remember it being playful. In fact I remember it being hard between my feet… and no more… 🤷🏻‍♂️
Its a super fun board. Im on my 3rd or 4th one and use it as my everyday board. Im also in SoCal, so take that as you will. Not a noodle, but playful and still has a lot of pop. Id say its a fun progressive flex pattern.

It's weird, a few days ago it worked for everything when i tested it. Then sometime yesterday it was limited to softgoods all of the sudden. I'll take it, though!

I would imagine sales are down for all snowsports in the Americas. First the economics and second the insanely weak winter snowfall for much of the country. One of the hills north of me was literally open for 3 days this winter. My local is already pushing next years season pass. Their lot has been half full at best all season. Idk what other countries are like, but I'm expecting to see early sales on gear.

in Europe the same. in the alps raining at atypical heights... southern Europe without snow... and suddenly very heavy snowfalls... but few... and very high temperatures... my local resort opened for 3 days this season... There is only one small local snowboard shop in that resort. Today I called them with a question. They must have cried with joy when they heard the phone ring. Where I live there were 5 snowboard shops. today only one. This surf shop belongs to a friend of mine. He sells snowboards out of nostalgia. It is not business for him…

B and other brands will use channels to dispose of their products. but they end up screwing the stores from which they then ask for large purchases of material...

But all the weather is like that. We had three consecutive years of “the girl” and now there is “the boy”… atypical climatic changes grouped together… (I don't know if in America the climatic phenomena that come from the Pacific are called the boy and the girl)

and now in tahoe there is a snow storm with a forecast of 2.5m, breaking all records...

How is it possible to maintain stores with these radical levels of uncertainty?
and it is impossible to compete against the large online megastores

Sometimes I think it’s odd companies like Burton manufacture an overstock of boards each season, especially FT decks. Those should be custom BTO…like what most surfboard shapers do. Send them your specs and a few weeks later they ship you a board. Less waste and people get the right sized boards for them
