Favs in no order:

Homeschool Insulator (still kicking, I think there’s some on eBay still for like $30-50)
AK Baker Lite
Mine77 Insulator (super thin, surprisingly warm, weird gold color though)

I think @Spenser posted some Volcom puff puffs on eBay for $50 recently.

It's not a soft shell but I'm a huge fan of my Arcteryx Kyanite hoody, which is Polartec powerstretch fleece. It weighs nothing and is super breathable. It's not enough insulation for super cold days, but 80% of typical winter I run the Kynanite hoody with a merino first layer and I'm totally comfortable in a really wide range of temps. It's been an essential for me for a few years now.

They run tight though so definitely need to size up.

Picked up a new merino ninja suit once they went on sale. I bought my first one 12 yrs ago so I was due for an upgrade - it was getting pretty faded with holes all over. I like how the zipper goes further down for easier access. The new one’s a bit lighter and softer too - I guess that’s the difference between 96% merino vs 55%.
