To me that would be the absolute worst binding ever to each their own and obviously people like that, but that soft of a abase plate would just piss me off and seem unresponsive as hell when it gets tight and you need to turn quickly. Also for wider decks like I ride, it would just be terrible.

I'd be interested in trying it but yeah, it seems like a it's going to lack response.

Gigi runs narrow decks doesn't he?

i think Gigi is the anomaly in who they are marketing that binding towards. definitely more for park dudes than big mountain hitters

I ride Jones Mercury and Flux XF at the moment. The XF goes on my Buteo, Pencil plus and Bullet Train. The Mercury is on my Bubo and Pluv.

Thinking about getting another pair of Flux. Can't decide if I'm getting another pair of (non pink) XF, CV or XVs.

Mainly for carving and light Freeride. The XF I feel could actually fit all my boards, but I've been thinking about getting something stiffer.

Anyone with experience with these bindings?

I’ve ridden the DS, XF, CV and TM from Flux. XV looks like a replacement for the TM.

The XF feels like medium stiffish flex like 6/10. The TMs felt stiff but still nowhere near their 10/10 rating (this rating is for carbon highbacks for me e.g. Nitro Machine, Nidecker Kaon Carbon).

If you like Flux, I’d go the CV. They are like 7.5/10 flex for the highback for me but the biggest advantage ober the XF is that higher heelcup and the ankle strap sitting higher as I already mentioned.

Thanks, I might go to the CVs then.

Malcolm did a decent job diving into the details in his two videos

Maybe, possibly at some point in my life.

As it stands now, even with a total knee replacement, getting into my bindings isn't an issue, so for myself, until it becomes a mobility issue, I couldn't see myself going that route.

Even though not for me, I do see them, along with step-ons, as overall good thing for the industry, there is a market for them, and as the demographic has its first generation of riders age, those two options start to be come viable for reasons like mobility.

And then there will just be some super recreational riders, and even new riders, who might see them as a more practical solution from the get go.
