Is it normal for the lib base to hold hot wax for only one day?
I had the same experience with a mervin board (Gnu).
I had to do a base grind, to give the board a proper base structure, then the base was able to hold wax for multiple days
So I suggest you to bring the board to a ski service

Depends on the base. TNT is somewhat of a hybrid extruded base, but they won't hold wax like sintered. But even with sintered Mervin bases, while I've never had speed issues, I did have to keep up on waxing more often.

100% this! Their base finish isn't good at all. When buying a Mervin board (not all ofcourse) you sometimes have to get a proper base structure. Wich is ridicuul because you expect a proper finish for that price.
I own several Mervin(Lib/Gnu) but I've been downsizing on my Mervin quiver.

It has more to do with the snow than the base. If you are riding east coast ice and its really cold and hardpack, something like Hertel all temp wont last a full day if you are on your edge a lot.

We mostly live in the less cold/more wet range, but I always run a line of cold/ice wax along the edge for this reason. Seems to help a bit.

Yes it’s sintered base.
The problem is excessive because I did waxing and then worked with roto brushes. Ready to ride!! The first day of the season my legs lasted about 4 hours, and the white base was already there without wax. the sides only. There was no speed reduction. I even thought about the rub on wax like you use, because the second day I used liquid wax because I couldn't wax with hot wax and with the liquid wax it was even worse... it must have all been left behind when I got out of the chair...

Yes, in my case wetter snow and not very cold...

even my sintered mervin didn't have speed issue, but I had to wax it every day. If not after a day and half on the slopes, I wasn't able to get through flat areas.
After the base grind/base structure, I didn't have any issues at all, for multiple days

That makes sense. I have never done a base grind on any board. They do have a noticeably different look to their bases. I don't know why they can't seem to finish them to the standard of virtually every other company.
Same experience as you. The edges on my mullairs/etc would basically dry out in a day, while the rest of the base did okay. Meanwhile, almost all my other boards have lasted pretty well. I want to say the best I've ever had have been nitro, US, and Stranda.
