i am aware there are many improvements that can be made to FASE... no different to supermatic and step-on. but to say FASE will not survive more than 3-4 year because they don't meet everyone's expectations before release is preemptive.

i would be glad to hear from anyone who has tried FASE and has concerns. i can't guarantee I can solve everyone's issues....but would like to address as many of the concerns as possible.

It would certainly be better than Burtons approach of "Our product is superior. Works as intended. You have to relearn how to snowboard." But the difference isn't that big either, from Fase to regular. Dunno if I'd mind clicking some on the toestrap either, if the whole strap outta the way thing works, and stepping in is ok. Chunky strap could be an issue, but shouldn't be impossible to solve.

Obviously not, I just rattled off a shit load of concerns that came up from the on snow at Interlude and you get super defensive.

You then twist that and say I said this and that and I kindly pointed out in my next post that no, that is not what I said.

I then tell you I actually haven't said shit about them. I could ride them and think they are the greatest things ever, but that won't change the fact of what I've been told by people who have ridden them.

So are you really here to get some feed back and take it constructively or not?

Yeah, that's tiring dude, but seems to be the hill you're trying to die on.

Should I go on and on about how I was a Salomon R&D rider in the late 90s early 00s? No because that has nothing to do with this conversation or product being discussed. ( well actually maybe a little bit because Salomon had the Fast Fit straps back in like 02 which essentially is what the ankle straps are on FASE )

Stop deflecting, because it makes it seem as though you really don't want to have some calm respectful discussions.

Forget everything else we have talked about. Let's even say you and I are in 100% agreement on everything and I think FASE is world changing.

Angry is not someone people on this forum listen to or take any stock in his reviews. Dude is a kook and is at best, from the very limited videos he will actually post of himself snowboarding, a very, very low intermediate rider. He won't post vids of him riding the products he reviews. Shady. Highly.

If you pay attention, he will review two complete different boards from different companies and say almost verbatim the exact same things. Almost like he just has a standard script he's going off these days.

Not hating on the guy, he's obviously got a thing going that's working for him and good on him, I'm sure the weekend warriors who ride 8-10 days a year love his reviews.

We don't.

The general opinion and consensus is that TJ ( board arrive ) is somebody to listen to and take seriously, he actually posts video of him riding every product he reviews and he is a solid rider with a ton of experience.

https://www.instagram.com/boardarchive/

After that Good Ride and again a step up from Angry, but still not as good as TJ.

If you search on here you will see nobody puts any stock whatsoever into any Angry reviews. If you, the reviewer, won't show yourself riding the product, there's something suspect about that.

We have widely discussed Angry and it's never good.

A shop buddy broke the baseplate on his demo T32M Fases. Nice little snapping sound when he landed. Alongside him, I tried the Katana FASE. I didn’t hate them, but they’re definitely not for me. I really, really wanted to like them more. They were more comfortable than Supermatic or StepOn, but I’m now 100% sure that nothing will match the performance of a traditional binding. I suppose it’s nice for beginners, weekend warriors and the herniated disc market to have options.

i hope he forwarded the FASE to his rep. i know there are several areas in the baseplate that are being updated. this may be one of them.

and yes, the current line up of FASE are not for everyone. great you demoed a pair first. hope as more brands get onboard and more models are available, you can find a FASE that fits your needs. NB: i was told by the FASE team manager that harry kearney (legendary banked slalom pro men winner) chose to ride the FASE jones over the 2 strap jones bindings for the performance. he is not sponsored by FASE. each to their own😎
