@pow_hnd First impressions? Been thinking of getting a new set of undergloves and those look promising.
A bit more profile than I'm used to. Will take a few days of riding to see how they play out.

My buddy Jake owns Handout Gloves and they dropped this collab this morning. Went and swooped up a pair for my trip to Baldface this week...
Oh no way nice! I was looking to get a pair of the "guide" ones (I got the mitts last year) but they don't ship to Japan. (Every other country on the planet is listed on the checkout form, except Japan… whhhhyyy?)

I can snag a pair and ship them to you if you want.

Ohhh… The site seems to be sold out, but yeah if you can grab a pair of the Guides in L size (black preferred but the tan is fine too), that'd be cool.
I'll send ya a pair of zipper pulls like the ones I made for my other pair (or whatever I have other models heh)

Grabbed a pair of inverters from darkside. They went on my Horizon which hasn’t seen much action in the past few seasons. All my other bindings are EST and the Fix winslows I had on it left alot to be desired. The unions are a welcome change and reminded me how much fun this board is.
I haven’t decided if I want to leave it as is or put a vinyl sheet down to cover the blue. For now I’m just going to enjoy a fun setup.

Santa Cruz Decal 3 160 cm, still in the shrink wrap. Zero need for this board but saw one pop up on marketplace in my ideal park board size and liked the look of the spec sheet for a cheap park board so I went for it.

Handflexes soft as shit. 5.5 / 10 but I'd call it more like a 4.
I can't figure out what's going on with the "Snap! Rocker". The marketing copy makes it sound like mellow rocker but visually it looks flat. I don't really see or feel any discplacement of camber when I press it anywhere... don't feel the middle displace down when I press between the bindings, don't see the board rock up when I press at the tips. Slipping a sheet paper underneath, I feel a little more resistance just outside the inserts, so guessing it's mellow cam-rock bordering on flat? Definitely not expecting much snap or power out of this thing.
Edit: Looked at it a little more closely in better light, I think it's basically a very mellow flatkick.
Haven't decided what to do with it. Waaaaaaay softer than I anticipated, will probably be the softest non-rental board I've ever ridden if I keep it. May just sell it back into the world still in wrap, ride it and see if I like it as a park board, or just stash it at my parents' so I don't have to travel with a deck when I cruise with the SoCal kooks at Big Bear.
Anyone got any beta about the Santa Cruz revival? Don't see a "Made in" sticker or stamp anywhere. If not for the JP Walker Pro, I'd assume it was just a cash grab zombie brand like whatever the fuck's going on with Palmer. Seems to be based out of Europe, all the MSRPs on the website are in Euros.

Think they’re made by their distributor, NHS. Not sure where that is, though.

Using Poplar and Paulonia that has been harvested responsibly from well managed forests that are continuously replenished and ensures that there is no damage to the surrounding environment, or to native flora and fauna.
Topsheet and Base material are recyclable and marked by a high degree of scratch resistance, to reduce abration and protect the mountains from pollutant particles.
To create sustainable products, it is not enough to look only at the manufacturing process of a snowboard. The entire life cycle of the product must be included in designer R&D evaluation to specify all components and materials from an environmental perspective. The aim is to conserve sesources and preserve the regenerative capacity.”

I think I heard somewhere along the grape vine that Jordan Small’s dad runs the snow program, for whatever that’s worth.
but, yeah distro’d by NHS , who’s one of the bigger skate distributors. Santa Cruz, Independent, Mob, Creature, Spifire, a few. more I’m forgetting.
