that’s the only actual new shape from them this year, I can confirm it is fun. it’s a nice in between of the standard and super Pigs, a lot like K2’s Excavator.

Quick take is that it's a partnership that made sense to grow US Snowshapes, leverage manufacturing partnerships and distribution channels, take some risk off for Snowshapes founders, add some diversity for FS, and perhaps inject some liquidity into US to broaden their operations. But obviously I don't know the details. Just speculating.

seems like they hired on Gray, and he brought US with him. FW outerwear caught my eye last year, and I've heard good things about Faction from my skier friends. seems like a good thing to me.

This might give a clue.. Notice some orange boot straps on Danny's boots.

danny has for some reason been running voile straps around his boots/highbacks.
I think the only think different about SLX is lime accents instead of orange.
