big fan of my Horizon 59w

perfect directional-ish shape and looseness for a midwest all-mountain ride. probably the most similar ride to my old DOA, but shaped to my current tastes.
please explain your boardroom sticker?
that’s where I bought it from! took advantage of the wild combo of crazy canadian exchange rates, megasales, and government payouts in the early pandemic days. paid something like $475 usd shipped for the board plus the last year of FC Ultra’s.
Not repping good ole' Camping World Holdings?

I've been doing that this pre-season, too! The exchange rate is in our favor bigtime right now. PFRO has 10 and 15% coupons, so you can take the 28% exchange rate difference plus the coupon and you've got yourself a great deal, especially if something's on sale already.

they were kind enough to let me enjoy some great unemployment benefits for two months back then (didn’t stop them from trying to hire me back as a warehouse employee for less $$$ when the ppp loans started going out. i declined).

related: dude who runs the one snowboard shop in town here (Japan) told us a) he's having a hard time getting anything in this year and b) orders for next year will need to be done a monthly earlier than usual AND everything will be up 30-40%. Supply chain/shipping chaos and all the inflation/currency craziness. Dunno if or how that will impact US/CAN/EUR/AUS, but maybe stock up and buckle up…

I'm really enjoying siting on the stagflation precipice with the peak up my ass as recession collapses areas of the economy and a collapsing supply chain and prior fed policies continue to drive inflation. It seems to me that if we begin to see a chain of currencies around the globe hyper inflate, the dollar will just continue to strengthen until the US is forced to print to bring down demand (more inflation) or others are forced to find an alternative currency to trade in.
If we see an alien invasion it's just a distraction. (snarf)

Short post on updating the cadet. I'm curious on spec & flex changes. Still one of my favorite silhouettes ever, but not quite stiff enough & small sidecut for me. Riding both the 62 and my orbit 57 this weekend reminded me how much I love the orbit.

Heard US is bought and they’re changing factories from Asia to Europe so only late release Horizon and Cadet this season. But Alek has been involved in re-shaping them. I think he’ll bring a lot to US.

looks like some good stuff coming from the Fullstack acquisition. wonder where they’ll be made in Europe. would be cool to see some smaller brands going back to the Mothership, wouldn’t be surprised if they go to Korua’s spot either, though.
