Grabbed a wide broadcast for a really good price - specs are right in my wheelhouse and just looks right. First K2 in a long time.

My K2 boards have always felt nice and broken in since day 1. My Fastplant was my main park board during my early 20s and the thing just would not break thanks to the Bambooyah core. They’ve seemed noticeably heavier than other comparable boards, though.

Getting a pro spot these days is nuts. Low key shocking Miles Fallon is still a pro-am.

So the board looked like an antidote - is that right?

yeah, usually these “pro” releases from K2/Ride are just that riders preferred board with a one-off or limited graphic.

Parker got a Broadcast, Jill got a Zero, Danimals had a Helix back in the day.

My friend owns one and I’ve ridden it. A wicked stiff Smokescreen.I would ditch that carbon parts there and just leave the titanal but under the topsheet and soften it. Something like Korua Bullet Train would be perfect - stiff torsionally and mid stiff tip to tail.

It has the same do it all directinal geometry but that flex kills the board imo. If they made a ‚pro’ Smokescreen that would be half way between the Smokescreen and the Commi in flex with the top tech from Commi it would be sick.
