Started riding my new transcend shells with old liners today. So damn good. Old shells are still fine, but starting to border on feeling slightly softer than I like, with tongue stiffeners. Guess this means I easily get a full season out of them, probably 1.5. It was more like 2 with ions, but these are cheaper and more comfortable for me, so doesn't matter.

Usually 60 some. The old pair is still in excellent shape physically (about 75 days), not retiring them, but the fresh shells are nice. Will probably still use the old ones for playful days, hiking & splitting.

I can damn near get two pairs of them for the prices I can get ions these days (so long as someone here keeps dropping special codes in the fall), so dollar for dollar, a better value.

My current T-Rices have about 150+ days on them and still going strong for me... Fit like a glove and the flex for me is perfect.

Saw Burton is having 30% off I was thinking of snagging my old lady a pair of new things, have any of you tried the Burton supreme boot for ladies? She rides the photon equivalent but is looking for a more stiff and powerful drive
Do you reckon 30% is good or wait for next years model? My b guy told me next years model is blue whereas this year is purple.. ya kno how ladies are with colors so I got myself a predicament

30% is a good discount. Markup is only 40%, so you’re not going to see things get much cheaper.

Today I snapped a speedzone lace. 2022 Ions, they have less than 20 days on them (didn't get to ride much last year...) so pretty annoying. I just tied the two ends together and got on with my day but what's the prognosis? Burton website is confusing saying the boots have a year warranty but the New England ropes lifetime?

They're easy to replace. I imagine they'd send you a repair kit for free. Where did they snap?

Upper zone lace, above the cleat. Happened while I was re-tightening after a few runs. I googled the replacements but nobody seems to have them. Will email Burton tomorrow. Good to know they are easy to replace!

Debating with myself if I should size down 5mm for a more performance fit. They feel a bit snug, not painful tho. Hmm...
