Vimana snowboards

Anyone have any experience with these? The white lines guys seem to love the continental directional and the specs/shape seem very appealing as do the koski.

Me again! I had the Continental directional V2 and loved it. I rode it for 3-4 seasons and it just feels like a normal board. Actual full camber for real, mid+ flex, regular width, slightly directional. Classic feel. They did a reshape, now called the V3 which is a bit wider which is normal in recent years. The nose shape on the V3 is not my cup of tea otherwise I would own one and it would probably be my only board I liked it that much. Small company, nice people, made at Nobile in Poland. Highly recommend.

I also ride the continental directional V2 but in 163W, it's a great do everything board and it's been very durable as well. 8.8m sidecut in the big size and medium flex make for a very fun carver as you can really adjust turn size and shape through the amount you flex the board. Ride's great switch too.

Thanks guys. The 59 continental looks pretty perfect for me spec. wise, and your comments echo everything I’ve ever heard about the brand. Not that all that many people know of them but I’ve never heard a single bad thing.

Just ordered the directional in a 59. Pretty pumped to get it out on snow once it gets here.

@@kevington that Dart/Banked Country duo is an excellent do-everything travel combo. I've carried that same pair on every road trip I've taken over the last 3 years. I've got other boards that I really like too, but between those two they cover all the bases in every condition.

I just wish I got the 155 Banked instead of the 159 and kept the Dart (I sold it in a moment of stupidity).

The Banked Country looks so dope. I wish they made a mid-wide 163-ish. The 162 is a bit narrow for me, the 163W bit wide, and the 160W is probably a little small.

I've had all three years BC, this years version is quite different than the first two and not just because of the tail shape. I'd say it's a smidge softer and more freestylie, easier to manipulate at moderate speeds (although it's no jib board by any means). The first two years are total freight trains though, they're all great, just moderately different flavors. I happen to like this years the best, it's a little more of a do-everything board. To your point I wouldn't mind it being a bit wider as well, even though I'm only a Burton 9 and mine is a 159.

I had a Vufo, an Astro and a continental twin. Good boards, solid construction., cool graphics. Their pow tips are interesting but I didn't feel much in real world experience. For freestyle boards they're great. If you're a freestyle guy who needs a powder board they'll be right up your alley. If you ride lots of pow though then there are better designs.
