Oh shit. They finally made a Cyclic jacket in a (mostly) solid Jake Blue. I may have found what to use my warranty credit on.

I briefly had a Jake Blue Ossicone from last year, but just a bit out there for me. And the patterned prints are a much heavier weight face fabric, so it just didn't quite fit the way I wanted.

Thanks @michaelangelo!!!

If it's not too much trouble, are we really getting what appears to be a plain Navy Cyclic jacket (in addition to a Jake Blue for @kimchi)? It looks Navy to me, but I don't see that color on anything else in the AK offering. I'm worried it might be more of a Teal color like the Cyclic pant seems to be. Any insight on that? Otherwise, I'll need to invest in a Kelp Cyclic this season before it's gone.

Happy catalog day doods! :D

Moss Long is WEIRD. A buddy lent me his for a run a few years back and warned me very explicitly "Back foot, back foot, back foot, don't turn with the front foot." My lizard brain instincts still went front foot and I fell right on my ass on my first turn. Like my buddy said, sucker would not turn properly unless I drove it through the back foot. I made it work but swapped back immediately after we finished the run.

I'm sure I could have figured it out in due time, but it's not like my Swallow 162 which felt very intuitive immediately. My buddy says the Long is pretty tits on low angle pow days though... he can hit lots of fresh turns at Northstar (a flatter resort) because he can ride out lines almost no one else can.
It's a 6' board called Long, I would be expecting that 8-) But it really looks like a shorter board with lots of nose added. Thinking just center flex and let it run.

Sooo, did some testing of burton boots and bindings. I'm thinking these are worth keeping in the line, bindings: X, Lexa X. boots: Driver X and Tourist. Rest is shite, Step On can burn..

Anybody interested in 2425 burton strap bindings can check out any of their catalogs from the last 15 years.

Just looking again at the YES catalog and they've dropped the 420, 420 Powhull, 20/20, 20/20 PH, Hybrid, Optimistic & Optisplit... Basically their directional freeride / powder selections. All gone.

The single directional board that remains in the lineup is the PYL. The rest of their freeride selection is all directional twins.

Clearly they've doubled down with YES the on the freestyle with the Lobster # merge, and then Jones as the Freeride / powder / BC brand.

*sigh*
