Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I was just at baldface and all of their test bindings have the new falcor base, I’m sad to say I stuck with my atlas and didn’t try them but I didn’t love the way they looked, which was cheap. I also didn’t love the molecular bushing ultra, I didn’t feel any extra bushing.. the old falcor and the Strata consistently feel like the most comfortable as far as mini disk is concerned.

Anti mini disc
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
Mega anti mini disc. Never even ridden them, but I know basic physics and I know I break things, so mini discs feels like tempting fate.
Saw this post pop up on Reddit of a guy who pulled the inserts of out 2 different Gnu Moneys, the second one within 2 weeks. Maybe the Gnu Money is just a piece of a crap, but that looks pretty clearly like what I'd expect when you increase the amount of baseplate outside the bindings and effectively create a more efficient lever.
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
Because I typically don’t like rocker at the tail contact.
a bit of taper, a lot of camber
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
Capita looks sick. I want a 59 Aeronaut.
Japan//Dupraz D1 5'2,5'5 standard, 5'5+, 6+, D-Tour 5'5, B.Hot 56/Now Drive/Spark R&D Surge

Me too!
I looked for a 2023 season Kazu for months (the last one with camber in the tail), seemed out of stock everywhere, then I found a little shop that still had one in my size
It should be here in the next week

Re: Hardgoods 24/25
oh man I still love mini disc. I think the Falcor & Strata do it the best with a firmer foam than Contact/Pro's used to have, but I'm still running a pair of @michaelangelo's old Contact Pro baseplates on my early season/jib setup.kimchi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 4:26 pmMega anti mini disc. I'm also a big guy and ride my boards fairly aggressively, and I've never had an issue with mini-discs.
the only time I ever saw people breaking them at the shop was when they were setup in correctly (slots running toe-heel instead of tip-tail).
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
i once cracked a contact pro baseplate when running it on burton channelll. maybe only 2 screws tip<->tail instead of screws heel-toe made it flex to much i duno.
it was a drop to flat and i went over the bars. when riding away i noticed the heel on back binding was about an inch above the board =D
