When I was testing for the above, I noticed they're pretty creased in the midfoot-- I can feel them distort further when I flex forward or even when I just tilt them up on the toes like a boot pack.

These might be done except as backups. Disappointing, I only have ~60 days on these shells. I'd heard Adidas anecdotally got a bit more cheaply made towards the end of their run, these are 2020s and don't seem to have held up as well as my 2018s. Image
FWIW I'm visiting my parents and I stashed an old set of Tactical Lexicons at their place so I don't have to travel with boots when visiting. Probably ~70 days on the shells. None of the same warping.

I don't know if it's the Jones strap or something inherent to the boots-- I mostly rode the Lexicons with NOWs and Burton straps --but interesting finding.

I'm actually going to take these home and put some newer liners in them. I think I can get at least another 15-20 days out of these. I'll swap the Lexicons with the busted ADVs next time I come visit lol.

fondled the Salomon boot lineup last week.

the Launch, Echo, and Dialogue all look super solid.

would love some of the Echo design/features in a softer flex.
midwest is best

I haven’t tried on a Salomon in around 10 years, but back then Dialogue Wide was by far the widest boot on the market. I have 3E feet, Dialogue easily accommodated the forefoot width but my heels + ankles were swimming around.

I hear the new ones have a narrow heel and a wider forefoot. Will definitely report back! If they're too wide, I might go with the regulars. I tried last season's regular Dialogues on over the weekend and they actually felt pretty comfy and decent width-wise, not as narrow feeling as I've heard they are. This season had a redesign so I'm curious how they fit.

Echos look sweet for sure, but they apparently had some BOA issues with that first year (they made a lace version as well, though) and like you said, too stiff. I think these Dialogues will hit the sweet spot. Design and build quality of the new Salomons looks great.

I'm curious about the Echo and I'm disappointed to hear that they are on the stiff side. I'm on Salomon Lo-Fi right now which have been discontinued so I'm looking for a replacement.

Probably the Launch or Dialogue. Dialogue is slight stiffer than the Launch, but by no means stiff.

Salomon wides are only E width now if I remember correctly. Tried a pair 2 years ago any way too narrow for my 2E feet.

What boa issues? Haven’t seen any so just wondering, because I have that year Echos. Don’t think it was the first batch though. They are a little stiffer, but not by much. If anything, I feel like the flex is a little uneven. Far from boots like Malamute and Driver X.
