the Lepore/Schneider era will always be my favorite. the art was still DIY, the riding understated but still ripping.

Loved the hell out of the first year Ultrafear. Must've watched Parker's review on it a dozen times.

Back when we had to submit photos with our superpro cards. This was for Sam (green) to get the purple force SL, fall 2009. I think the other side of the card was for the first ultrafear with the collage graphic? Can't remember if they released any of those decks to the public.. maybe limited

I wore that hoodie until it fell apart.

Milk was a coverup when I posted this on fb..

From Zoe's first trip in January 2012, when Shralp also came up. Eaglecrest is closed 2 days a week... spent that first night at a backcountry cabin with about 1.5ft new, puked all night and woke up to another 10" or so, and the sun came out. Next day when EC reopened, all of us were on Charlies 💪 and we had almost 30" new from the two days they were closed. Insane week. Was definitely part of why she moved from Quebec to Whistler, and she should be back here this march 🕺

My first Capita was a 2006 Stairmaster 152, I'm not what I'd call hard on gear so this was the first board I ever warrantied. Snapita lol. They replaced it but eventually the replacement ended up dying an undignified death. Likely viewed through (very) rose coloured glasses but in my head this is my favourite board ever. Also likely because of the crew I rode with that year and how much I got to ride, amazing times.

the 06 Outdoor Living was my first CAPiTA, had a 160 that was also warrantied after a season, but due to a cracked edge. for some reason that year doesn’t exist on the internet (aka evo’s archived product pages), but it’s replacement was the next year’s of the same board that I felt was too big, and ended up selling for a 1st year Horrorscope.

I wonder how many of us have "Snapita" stories. I remember that run of Stairmasters where basically the entire run had the topsheets fall off. I believe Blue even mentioned it in his Bomb Hole episode. Would have sucked at the time, but one of those delaminated topsheets would be a cool wallhanger memento lol.

I've owned two Capita-made boards: a Sierra Snowboards Sierrascope circa 2010 and a BSOD 2015.

The Sierrascope was a slightly burlier Horroscope. Fun as hell at first, one of the better reverse camber boards I can recall riding-- but then broke in MEGA soft after like 5 days.

The BSOD was a piece of shit. After I mentioned that particular model to two separate Capita mega-fans: "Oh. THAT board sucks." By far the softest snowboard I've ever owned; listed at 6.5/10, more like 4 or 4.5. Megalight but made of cardboard, broke it my first day out. Granted I hit a rock, but I hit a lot of rocks lol. If not for the Ride Machete 2012, it'd be the least favorite snowboard I've ever ridden (FUUUUUCK the Ride Machete 2012).

Seems like construction got better after the Mothership. Hope I don't regret buying that Aeronaut lmao.

That particular year BSOD was way off. Took them a little bit to figure it out. I loved the 2012 I had... properly stiff, felt high end, and rode great.

I've never snapped a capita, or any board for that matter. I had a variety, the latest being a 2013 Charlie. Everything I had was great, with the exception of a pop-top stairmaster - that issue was the 2008 model year. Brand new, first day, the tips popped off. I have pictures somewhere... they sent me the first horrorscope as replacement. Can't believe I ever rode a board like that. Made me think I could jib 😜

Yea, I bought the wrong year and wasn't a savvy consumer at the time. I wasn't paying as close attention as I do these days and bought one on the reputation of the prior generation, not realizing Capita overhauled the shape.
